Abstract: 
The accumulation of genomic information from model organisms offers great potential for rapidly improving our understanding of cardiovascular development and disease. Although not previously considered to be a genetic organism, recent advances suggest that the frog Xenopus offers significant promise for cardiovascular genomics.
