Abstract:
Zebrafish is a widely used model system for genetic study in the field of development biology and molecular biology. The commonly used strategies in zebrafish include DNA mutagenesis and RNA-based gene silencing. However, their application is restricted due to deficiencies of chemical mutagenesis and traditional antisense technology. Morpholino antisense technology possesses its unique advantages, such as convenience and stability, and has been rapidly used in the study of gene function. Since zinc-finger nucleases technology, as an emerging method of gene knockout, does not rely on embryonic stem cell, it will hold more perspectives.
